These stories live in our hearts, but they fade. Slowly, with time.
DearStory was born with one belief: the most meaningful gift you can give someone is their own story, beautifully told.

Why Our Memoirs Feel Cinematic
DearStory was shaped by founder Neel Sen, also known as Bijoy Sen, and his background in cinematography and direction. Instead of treating a life story as a stack of photos and captions, we structure it like a film: an opening that establishes the emotional world, an interval that changes the rhythm or perspective, and a climax that resolves the central feeling.
That narrative discipline is also why our Digital commissions begin at 12 pages and our Printed commissions begin at 24 pages. The minimums give the story enough room for setup, progression, emotional turns, visual breathing space, and a meaningful ending rather than compressing a personal history into a template.
Each commission is developed from the client's own memories, references, photographs, conversations, and approvals. The result is built around the person and the relationship being preserved, not around a pre-written storyline.
The People Behind DearStory
DearStory began with a question that stayed with Neel Sen, also known as Bijoy Sen: how can a person's memories be preserved as something more meaningful than a photo album?
In early 2026, during a period of stillness after an accident, Neel began exploring the idea that memories could be shaped into cinematic, deeply personal narratives. He built the first version of DearStory himself, developed the concept of the Cinematic Memoir, and launched the studio in May 2026.
What began as one person's creative experiment gradually became something larger.
Around three months after DearStory's launch, Neel's wife, Eleena Sen, also known as Rishita Saha Sen, joined the journey as co-founder.
Their relationship had already shaped many of the conversations behind DearStory: memories, relationships, the small moments people forget, and what it means to build a life with someone. When Eleena became part of the studio, she brought that perspective into the business itself.
They knew from their own life together that the moments people treasure most are rarely only the obvious milestones. They are conversations, ordinary days, shared struggles, inside jokes, journeys, photographs, and small details that become more valuable as time passes.
Perhaps it was inevitable that a studio built to preserve relationships would eventually become something they built together.
Today, Neel leads DearStory's narrative architecture, creative direction, product vision, and storytelling philosophy. Eleena helps shape the studio's client experience, brand stewardship, relationship-led thinking, and the human side of how DearStory grows.
DearStory did not begin as a plan to build another personalized gifting company. It began as an attempt to preserve stories with more care, more meaning, and more permanence.
Together, Neel and Eleena are building DearStory around a simple belief: some stories deserve to be preserved carefully enough to outlive the moment in which they were created.
