What changes when photographs become a memoir?

Original photographs can remain original
A premium memoir does not require every source photograph to be recreated. When the emotional value lies in the original photograph, DearStory can preserve it as the primary visual evidence and design the page around it. Illustration, reconstruction or visual enhancement is a creative option, not a requirement.
This is especially important for weddings, childhood archives, deceased family members, handwritten notes and irreplaceable documentary photographs where the authenticity of the source itself carries the memory.

Can you make the book only from photographs?
Yes, but even a small amount of context makes the result stronger. Dates, names, places, short voice notes or a conversation with the family can help recover the meaning behind the images.
How many photographs should I send?
There is no universal number. The right quantity depends on the story and edition. Large archives can be curated; you do not need to decide the final page placement before the narrative is structured.
Is this a replacement for a normal photo book?
Not always. A conventional photo book is excellent when the goal is simply to display many photographs. A Cinematic Memoir is better when the goal is to preserve the relationships, chronology and meaning behind them.
