Privacy, confidentiality, ownership, and responsible production for deeply personal story projects.
DearStory is a bespoke storytelling studio that transforms personal memories into cinematic memoirs, illustrated storybooks, conversation archives, and family legacy editions. These projects can contain years of WhatsApp chats, private correspondence, photographs, voice notes, letters, journals, and documents that were never intended for public view. Trust is therefore not a separate feature of our service. It is part of how every commission must be planned, created, reviewed, printed, and delivered.
This Trust Center explains the practical safeguards, permissions, limitations, and client choices that apply when you share sensitive source material with DearStory. It is designed to help you understand the process before you upload anything confidential.
Operational trust, not just promises
DearStory is a registered Indian MSME under UDYAM-WB-15-0119935. Secure online payments are processed through Razorpay, so card and bank-payment credentials are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by DearStory.
For physical editions, DearStory uses the CloudPrinter partner network and other approved production partners to route books through suitable regional print hubs. This helps reduce international transit, customs friction, and unnecessary handling while keeping production specifications tied to the approved edition.
Client photographs and story files are used for the commissioned project and are scheduled for deletion from our systems within 30 days of order completion. If a project requires a different retention period, restricted access, or an NDA, that can be agreed before sensitive material is shared.
