This guidance applies to DearStory's bespoke cinematic memoirs, personalized storybooks, relationship archives, family legacy books, and other commissioned projects created from client-supplied personal material.

Will my project be posted publicly?

No. We require your explicit written permission before using private project content in our website portfolio, social media, advertising, case studies, or other promotional material.

Can I remove sensitive parts before sharing?

Yes. You should remove anything that is unnecessary for the project. You may also clearly mark material that must be excluded from the final book.

Who can access my files?

Access is limited to the people and selected production partners who need the material to complete, print, deliver, or support your commissioned project.

Can I ask for my source files to be deleted?

Yes, after completion and delivery you may request deletion from active production systems. Limited business, legal, payment, approval, and backup records may still need to be retained.

Can DearStory sign an NDA?

Yes, we can review and sign a reasonable NDA for suitable projects before confidential files are shared. The agreement must reflect the actual production workflow and may require legal review.

Are AI or assisted tools used?

Assisted tools may support organisation, drafting, language, visual exploration, transcription, formatting, or production. DearStory remains responsible for human direction, review, approvals, and final delivery. Special restrictions should be agreed before onboarding.

Is any digital process completely risk-free?

No responsible service should promise absolute security. DearStory uses reasonable confidentiality and handling practices, limits access, and explains where external production or delivery partners are involved.

Still have a question?

Contact us before sharing your files. We would rather clarify the process first than ask you to take an unnecessary privacy risk.
