Share only what the project needs

Before sending files, you may remove any material that is not required for your book. You can also mark individual conversations, photographs, documents, names, or dates that must not be reproduced.

For very large archives, we may first request a limited sample so we can assess volume, format, readability, and production scope before you send the full collection.

Controlled project access

• Access is limited to people directly involved in planning, editing, designing, reviewing, printing, or delivering the project.
• Client materials are not made available for unrelated internal browsing, demonstrations, or training.
• Files are handled only for the agreed DearStory project and related client support.

Production copies

Working copies may be created where necessary for layout, illustration, proofing, printing, backup, or delivery. These copies remain subject to the same project confidentiality commitments.

What you should avoid sending

• Passwords, one-time passwords, card PINs, or banking credentials.
• Material unrelated to the project.
• Original identity documents where a redacted copy would be sufficient.
• Third-party information you do not have permission to share.
